Goose Creek Candle Wax Melt Reviews - July 2020

This is a review of 3 new Goose Creek Candle Wax Melts from July 2020: Boardwalk Mahogany, Moonlit Coconut, and Sandy Toes. Nice summer scents scents with strong throw! Goose Creek Candle wax melts and candles can be found on their website at goosecreekcandle.com.

Boardwalk Mahogany
Top: Summer Teakwood, Sunlit Mahogany; Mid: Fresh Apple, Gentle Pear, Coconut; Base: Rich Driftwood, White Woods
I really like this one! It's a bright sweet scent with a fruity (apple? pear? pineapple?) note, a light tropical wood or cedar note that gives it a classy vibe, and just a smidgen of coconut, and possibly a barely detectable smidgen of a sweet floral like gardenia. Like an expensive furniture store on the boardwalk! When melted, I smell mostly coconut; in fact, when melted this is primarily a coconut scent, with a bit of fruit and a hint of wood. Looking at the notes, they're spot on. Great scent!

Moonlit Coconut
Top: Coconut Waters, Lemon; Mid: Pineapple, Jasmine; Base: Midnight Tide, Oud, Cedarwood
I smell fruity, floral and coconut notes, with maybe a smidgen of bergamot although it's not a cologney scent. It's sweet but not overly sweet, a little rich, a smidgen of light wood, maybe a sweet floral like jasmine, a hint of a watery note, and a smidgen of a sourness that's barely detectable so the fruit might be tropical (pineapple?), although it's not a tropical scent per se. It's hard to describe, but I like it. When melted, I smell mostly coconut. Looking at the notes, they're spot on! I don't detect lemon, but maybe that's the sourness I'm detecting.

Sandy Toes
Top: Soft Sandalwood, Warm Island Sands; Mid: Summer Sunshine, Bergamot; Base: Coconut, Amber, Gentle Woods
This is a men's cologne type scent with a milky sandalwood note and also a "harsh" note that I'm not a fan of, but it's still a nice scent and it's not overly sweet. It may have a smidgen of a barely detectable coconut note. Looking at the notes, there's the sandalwood, and the bergamot (which often gives scents a cologney note), and the coconut. This isn't really a summery or beachy scent though; it's kind of warm and cozy and would be a nice scent to melt on a chilly evening in front of the fireplace.
