Better Homes & Gardens Aromatherapy Wax Melt Reviews from Walmart - 2020

This is a review of Better Homes and Gardens Aromatherapy Wax Melts from Walmart 2020. The new scents are Eucalyptus, Lavender, Peppermint, and Sweet Orange.

Eucalyptus
Crisp peppermint joining with green eucalyptus leaves boosted with a touch of fresh rosemary
This is indeed eucalyptus! It kind of smells like Vicks VapoRub. It also has a nasal clearing effect (although not as much as the Peppermint scent), so it's a good scent to use if you have a cold. When I walked into the room though, it smelled more like Pine Sol or industrial cleaner. So although I like it on cold sniff, when melted I'm kind of on the fence. Looking at the notes, it might be the rosemary that's giving this a little bit of a savory note.

Lavender
Crushed lavender balanced by touches of white woods and aromatic herbs
This is a nice plain authentic lavender scent without any other notes. It's not sweet at all, but it's also not medicinal. Not very strong on cold sniff, and scent started dissipating in an hour or so.

Peppermint
Rosemary and camphor spiked with peppermint and eucalyptus
This is plain peppermint and it does indeed smell like pure peppermint oil, with a spearmint note and a barely detectable smidgen of eucalyptus way in the background. It's sweet, but not creamy or nearly as sweet as peppermint candy or candy canes, and no vanilla note. Maybe more like peppermint breath mints. And it has a strong nasal clearing effect when melting, so it's a good scent to use if you have a cold. Melted, wow this is a strong peppermint! And it lasted for 8 hours. Very nice, better than I expected! Looking at the notes, it's probably the camphor that gives this such a strong nasal clearing effect, although I don't smell camphor at all, although now that I'm sniffing it again, maybe way way in the background?

Sweet Orange
Luminous orange, sweet tangerine, and ripe mandarin blend with tangy lemon zest and hints of citrus greens
I was hoping this would be an orange blossom or neroli type scent, but it's just plain orange, like any other orange scented wax melt. It's a great scent though, bright and citrusy, and kind of smells like ScentSationals Orange Pops. Because it's a one-note scent, it's a good scent to use as a mixer to add an orange note to other scents. Looking at the notes, I don't detect lemon at all.
