Goose Creek Candle Christmas Wax Melt Reviews

This is a review of Goose Creek Candle Christmas Wax Melts from 2019. As usual, great scents with terrific throw! Goose Creek Candle wax melts and candles can be found on their website at goosecreekcandle.com, and at some stores like Gabe's and Tuesday Morning.

Candy Cane Kiss
Top: Peppermint, Cool Spearmint; Mid: White Chocolate; Base: Cotton Candy, Whipped Vanilla
This is an incredibly yummy scent combining strong sinus clearing peppermint and a super sweet, sugary, rich vanilla buttercream and chocolate. I want to take a bite out of the wax, it smells sooooo good!! The chocolate is kind of subtle, but it's definitely there. Looking at the notes, they're spot on, although I don't smell spearmint (which often has a toothpastey vibe, so I'm glad I don't notice it).

I thought this was a scent that returned from previous years, but it's not. Only the label is very similar to Peppermint Snowflake, which came out a couple of years ago.

Ivory Rocking Horse
Top: Soft Cashmere, Brushed Suede; Mid: Vanilla Bean, Black Amber; Base: Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Warm Musk
This is such an unusual scent, and I really like it. It smells like dry roasted peanuts or popcorn without butter and salt, with a milky quality, along with a tiny bit of a cotton or warm cashmere type note. It's a tiny bit sweet, but it's not perfumey at all.

North Pole Bakery
Top: Cinnamon Sugar, Melted Butter; Mid: Sticky Toffee, Crushed Pecan; Base: Warm Churro, Vanilla Bean
A yummy toffee scent with sweet vanilla buttercream, brown sugar, molasses, caramel, a hint of nuttiness, a smidgen of a bready note, and maybe a teensy bit of cinnamon. Looking at the notes, they're spot on.

Snow Covered Apple
Top: Bright Red Apple, White Winter Snow; Mid: Mixed Fruits, Gentle Citrus; Base: Sugary Candy
I expected this to smell like ScentSationals A Wonderful Winter (which smells like a combination of apple and sweet mint), but it's a totally different scent. And as much as I love A Wonderful Winter, I'm glad this is not similar because it might be one of the best smelling wax melts I've ever melted. It's very similar to a Better Homes & Gardens scent from 2015 called Iced Berry Sangria. I smell raspberry, pineapple, orange, pomegranate, and a hint of apple, with a super sugary sweet candy note, and a smidgen of a perfumey note. Looking at the notes, I don't know what "white winter snow" smells like, but I assume it's a minty note, and there's no mint in this scent at all. Amazing scent, but it lasted under 2 hours.

Sweet Pine & Snowflakes
Top: Sparkling Citron, Starry Snow; Mid: Pine, Fir Balsam, Sugared Mistletoe; Base: White Cedar, Pink Poinsettia, Ivy Wreath
This is an incredible scent that smells like blue spruce (an aldehydic spruce, not a biting pine). I can't figure out the other notes, maybe something soapy with a hint of cedar and/or sandalwood and a hint of a fresh note? It's not sweet at all, but it's not sour, nor does it have any foodie notes. Looking at the notes, citron is a thick-skinned lemon type inedible citrus fruit that smells like a very acidic, bitter version of lemon. But I don't smell any lemon in this scent.
Here's another review of this scent, in candle form.

Under the Mistletoe
Top: Soft Pine, Balsam Needles; Mid: Apple, Orange; Base: Sage, Woods, Amber
There are very very few Goose Creek Candle wax melt scents that I don't like, and this is one of those few. It's a pine scent with a sour note that doesn't smell good to me at all. I thought it was a scent that returned from previous years, because the label is similar to Winter Bayberry from 2017, but it's a totally different scent.
