Goose Creek Candle Wax Melt Reviews - September 2019

This is a review of Goose Creek Candle Wax Melts from September 2019. Two of these new scents have cats on the label, so I'd buy them even if I had no idea what the wax smelled like! Goose Creek Candle wax melts and candles can be found on their website at goosecreekcandle.com, and at some stores like Gabe's and Tuesday Morning.

Cozy Kitten
Top: Spun Sugar, Pine, Grapefruit; Mid: Red Berries, Jasmine, Dahlia; Base: Soft Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla
It has a picture of a cat on the label, so even without knowing what it smells like, I had to have it! I'm detecting a lot of different notes. Patchouli for sure, but it's subtle and in the background. Maybe a floral, although it's not a flowery or even perfumey scent. I think there's a smidgen of light wood, maybe sandalwood. And something just a teensy bit bitter, but not nearly enough to ruin the scent. Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell berries at all. And pine? Maybe now that I know it's there. And the grapefruit is that barely noticeable bitterness. It's a very nice, pleasant scent, and it is indeed "cozy".

Funnel Cake
Top: Melted Butter, Fried Dough; Mid: Powdered Sugar, Vanilla Bean; Base: Whipped Cream, Sugar, Soft Spice
This really does smell like funnel cake, or a waffle, a rich vanilla scent (but not a buttercream scent), a little sweet with buttery note and a little bit of dough. There's a smidgen of cinnamon in the background on cold sniff, but I don't smell that when melted. It's a really nice, cozy scent. Although it kind of smells like a waffle, it's a totally different scent from Dutch Stroopwafel.

Let's Stay Home
Top: Crisp Apple, Soothing Chamomile; Mid: Creamy Hazelnut, Soft Latte Notes; Base: Creamy White Woods, Vanilla, Amber
Another label with a cat! A super sweet scent with lemon, a sweet floral like gardenia, a hint of caramel, and maybe a smidgen of apple. Looking at the scent notes, I'm way off, except for the apple. I really do smell lemon! Hazelnut? I suppose there could be a barely detectable nutty note. Latte? No, I don't detect any coffee or tea notes. All I know is it's a fantastic scent, one of the nicest scents I've ever smelled!

Love You Latte
Top: Fresh Brewed Coffee, Fluffy Marshmallows; Mid: Vanilla Cream, Milk; Base: Espresso, Caramel, Creamy Vanilla
Mmm, so good!! This smells like a vanilla cupcake or waffle with a bit of a coffee note. The coffee note is milky and very subtle like, well, a latte! It's not a bitter, black coffee scent. Nor is it a sweet fake coffee scent. And although it's sweet, it's not sugary sweet like buttercream. It smells authentic and yummy!

Pina Colada
Top: Pineapple, Coconut; Mid: Cherry, Orange; Base: Soft Woods, Milky Vanilla
This scent came out a few months ago, so it's not "brand" new. It's such a fantastic, summery fragrance! It actually came out a few months ago, but I only just now got the opportunity to review it. I smell pineapple first, but it's not an overly sweet pineapple. There's another fruity note in the background that's very slightly harsh or tart, but not in a bad way, maybe black cherry? And of course there's coconut. It also has a little bit of a rich creaminess to it. Looking at the scent notes, they're spot on. I'm not a fan of most pineapple scents, but I really like this one.
