Mainstays Walmart Wax Melts Reviews

MORE

These are reviews of Mainstays (Walmart) wax melts, some of which may be older scents, and some of which may have been the only Mainstays scent to come out in a season. I will add more Mainstays wax melt reviews to this page when a new scent comes out that's not part of a new line of Mainstays scents; for instance, if only one scent comes out for the season, it doesn't make, well, "scents", to devote an entire page to that one scent.

This page is a resource used for comparing other scents to the Mainstays scents on this page. If another scent I've reviewed somewhere else on this website smells like one of these Mainstays scents, it will link to this page.

Garden Rain
That just-rained smell, with hints of white rose, apple blossom and water lily
A fresh, watery, clean, slightly grassy scent that's not overly sweet. It has a little bit of a fake air freshener type note, but it's still a nice scent. It's a perfect scent for the bathroom.

Peaceful Waters
Refreshing aquatic notes of water lily and an ozone accord swirl with violet leaves for brightness and clarity. Tender muguet, rose and freesia petals float in the heart with softness and serenity. The warmth of sun-kissed driftwood blends with transparent musk and white amber for enveloping comfort.
A sweet watery scent with a soft warm ambery note and a hint of musk. It has a little bit of a soapy note, and it's not a perfumey scent. But it also has a richness and a bit of a foodie note, maybe vanilla or even caramel, that's a tiny bit nauseating and just "too much" when mixed with the freesia. Looking at the notes, I don't see anything foodie.

Pecan Pumpkin Cake
Brown sugar, indulgent butter cream and sweet lemon mingle with an aromatic blend of ginger, nutmeg and scrumptious pumpkin. Vanilla, pecan and sugarcane add richness at the bottom.
This smells like sweet rich milky cream with a nutty note and the slight saltiness of the pumpkin. It's very rich, almost nauseatingly so, but it's super yummy! Looking at the scent notes, I don't smell any lemon. This was the only new Mainstays scent that came out in August 2016 for the Fall season.
