This is a review of 4 new Threshold wax melts from Target for Fall 2021: Harvest Festival, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Pumpkin, and Warm Cider & Cinnamon.
With pumpkin and clove
A nice, sweet fall apple scent with a bit of cinnamon and hint of nutmeg that kind of gives it a pumpkiny note, but it's mostly apple. Actually it smells more like pear than apple, or a pear and apple combo. Like pear, apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg, in that order. The cinnamon is not overbearing, and it doesn't have that slightly sour note of mulling spices that apple cider scents, like Warm Cider & Cinnamon, tend to have.
With cinnamon and nutmeg
A very nice pumpkin pie type scent that's sweeter than most, and with brown sugar and even a bit of caramel. It's not as spicy as other pumpkin spice scents I've smelled.
With brown sugar and cinnamon
Most vanilla pumpkin scents I've smelled just smell like pumpkin pie, but this is indeed a true representation of the scent name. On cold sniff it smells like an almost even combination of sweet vanilla and pumpkin pie filling (nutmeg and cinnamon spices). When melted, however, it does become more pumpkiny, more like 70% pumpkin and 30% vanilla, but it's a nice, sweet pumpkiny scent and I definitely smell the vanilla as well.
Warm Cider & Cinnamon
With apple and orange
This is a standard sweet apple cider scent with a hint of mulling spices. A nice, typical fall scent.
