Tuscany Candle Wax Melts Reviews - Spring 2016

This is a review of Tuscany Candle Wax Melts for Spring 2016. I found most of these at Christmas Tree Shops, which usually has wax melts that have been discontinued for at least a year. But I think these are new. Three of the spring scents I found at Joann Fabric (they are not in the video).

Blood Orange
Citrus Blast
This is a holiday pomander scent, which is a mix of orange and cloves. It's the same scent they use in a lot of their orange scents, including Orange Vanilla. It's a strong scent, but not a spring or summer scent. I'm not a fan of pomander scents. It's an odd combination that smells like orange and clove scented soap with no sweetness.

Blue Sage
Spring Blue Sage and Soothing Sea Salt
This one is very light on cold sniff. I smell the sage, but it smells more like herbal lavender than sage. And I do smell a salty note. This is definitely a spa scent, but a little too herbal. It might smell better with a bit more sweetness added. Melted, it just smelled like medicinal lavender but a little more savory due to the sea salt. Like the Lavender Crumpets, it was too savory for my tastes.

Blushing Orchid
Delicate and Wild
A nice jasmine type floral scent with a green note and a smidgen of soapiness that keeps it from being perfumey or too sweet.

Cotton Candy
Sugary Airy Sweet
This is a totally authentic cotton candy scent, with that sticky strawberry/lemon sugary note. Fantastic scent!

Dandy Daisy
Spring Daisies Lightened with Tonka
Tonka is a type of vanilla, and I don't smell any kind of vanilla in this scent. It's not exactly a floral either. It's a fresh oceany scent with a hint of clean floral, like maybe a body wash or even a laundry type scent. It's a nice generic fresh scent.

Lavender Crumpets
Herbal Lavender and Vanilla Caramel
This smells like herbal lavender with a medicinal note, combined with a bakery note. It smells odd, like two scents that should not be put together. If the lavender were more floral and not so medicinal, this might work. Melted, it's definitely more of an herbal medicinal lavender scent, and the bakery is way in the background. After about an hour, I couldn't smell the bakery at all. I don't really care for this scent as it's a bit too medicinal. I think a little bit of vanilla mixed in would help this scent.

Mountain Meadow
Fresh and Clean
This is a sweet grassy floral but there's a tiny bit of a harsh note in there, like a sweet chemical, that I don't like. This smells a little like the old ScentSationals Orchard Breeze.

Ocean Pebbles
Sea Heather and Driftwood
This smells like a fresh men's body wash, kind of like "Cool Water". It smells great!

Puffed Petals
Soft Florals Blended with Sugar Cane
This smells like vanilla mixed with a floral and a warm ambery cashmere note. It's a very nice delicate, classy fragrance.

Salted Caramel Cake
Sea Salt, Brown Sugar and Vanilla
This really smells like caramel. The brown sugar note is very strong. This is not as salty as some other brands of salted caramel scents (like Yankee). Yummy scent!

Spring Rain
Pure and Clean
This one smells a little like Blushing Orchid but not as sweet and floral, and there's another "watery" note that I can't figure out, but I don't like that note.

Strawberry Cake
Fresh Strawberries and Buttercream Frosting
This smells exactly like strawberry shortcake. On cold sniff, a lot of Tuscany scents have a weird sour or waxy note, and this one is no exception. But you don't smell that sour waxy note when it's melted. I love this scent!

Water Hyacinth
Aged Amber and Blue Lotus
This is a pleasant watery scent with a sweet floral, but not really flowery. It smells like a fresh sweet herbal body wash with a slight floral note. I don't smell any amber. On cold sniff it smells nice, but when melted it had kind of chemical floral scent that I didn't care for, like a cleaning type scent that should be used to cover up other scents. It wasn't awful, but not good enough for me to melt on a regular basis.
