Aldi Fall Wax Melt Reviews 2022

This is a review of the Aldi Fall 2022 wax melts (Huntington Home brand), Collection #2: Honey Glazed Pear Cider, Pumpkin Gingersnap, Smoked Pumpkin Cider, Winter Lodge. They're $1.89 each.

This is the second of the 4-scent Aldi fall wax melt collections. The first fall collection came out in mid-October, and we reviewed them HERE.

Honey Glazed Pear Cider
I no longer have Pear Chestnut & Teak to compare, but I think this might smell similar, although when melted, I like this one much more. I'm definitely getting the fresh pear and a bit of apple, but this one has a smidgen of a bakery note that Pear Chestnut & Teak didn't have, and it's richer, but also fresher, and might have a smidgen of salted caramel in the background. It's a fresh, fruity, fantastic scent!

Pumpkin Gingersnap
This does indeed smell like the scent name. I'm getting gingerbread with a little bit of nutmeg. But I'm also getting a tiny bit of a rich, smoky note (which might be cloves). On cold sniff, I also get orange that gives it a bit of an orange pomander note, but I don't really smell that when melting. It's a nice, warm, cozy foodie fall scent!

Smoked Pumpkin Cider
I'm getting patchouli, a little cinnamon, a hint of apple, a hint of smoke, and warm amber with a tiny bit of musk that makes this more incensey than foodie. I'm not getting nutmeg, pumpkin, or cider type notes. I love it!

Winter Lodge
A very nice, cozy scent that smells like incense, warm sweet amber, pine, and cinnamon, with a bit of men's cologne. It's not a typical warm men's cologne scent, and it has more pine in it than other similar scents, although it's not a pine scent, per se. I definitely do detect cinnamon as well, which I don't get from other similar scents. It's like pine and cinnamon scented ambery perfume, and I really like it! It reminds me of Big Lots Frankincense & Myrrh and Better Homes & Gardens Frankincense & Patchouli, but this scent is darker, and with the cinnamon and pine notes that those other scents don't have.
