This is a review of Candle Warmers Etc. Aromatherapy all-natural soy wax melts with essential oils. These can be found on the Candle Warmers website, and at stores such as At Home, Gabe's, Tuesday Morning, and others.
These were not very strong on cold sniff. And in my experience, all natural soy wax melts, particularly those with essential oils, typically have very weak throw. So I did not buy these. For $2.99, there are much better wax melts out there.
If you melt these, please comment below with your experience and how well they throw. I'll add your comments to this review!! Yep, a couple of people from our Facebook group and various social media sites said they tried these, and the throw was very weak for all of them. So I'm glad I didn't buy them!
I only found 5 of their aromatherapy scents, but on their website they also have Purify (Lemon & Ginger), Refresh (Eucalyptus & Mint - which probably smells like ScentSationals Zen), and Relax (Lavender & Ylang Ylang).
This scent was fairly strong on cold sniff. I smell both the lemongrass and the lime, but it smells kind of like a harsh lemon scented bathroom cleaner rather than a spa type scent.
Orange & Amber
I do smell orange, but this scent smells awful. I don't smell amber, which would give this a sweet, warm, very slightly woodsy note. Instead, I'm smelling maybe cedar, but it's like "rotted" cedar. This scent smells like a spoiled orange. Yuck!
Patchouli & Birch
I can barely smell anything on cold sniff. It smells like wax with just a smidgen of a woodsy note. I don't detect patchouli at all.
Geranium & Pink Currant
I really like this scent. I do smell the currant, which is a soapy, slightly bitter fruity cedar type scent. And I think I smell the geranium too. I should have bought this one!
Sandalwood & Lotus
I like this one. I think I detect a hint of sandalwood, and a sweet cedar note. I also detect the floral note, and it's a little perfumey.
