Big Lots Living Colors Wax Melts Reviews - December 2019

This is a review of Big Lots (Living Colors) Wax Melts from December 2019. These are spa-themed scents.

Coastal Serenity
Didn't buy, not available when I bought others. A fresh watery scent with a hint of a peppery note and a smidgen of a bug spray note.

Coconut & Mandarin Water
I adore this scent! It smells like sweet, creamy coconut that I want to eat, with a super milky vanilla, and it also has a hint of a baby powder note. I don't really smell orange (mandarin), but there is something else in the background that I can't put my finger on that could be essence of orange without the citrusy note.

Eucalyptus Mint
Scents that have the name "Eucalyptus Mint" almost always smell like ScentSationals Zen (soft spearmint with a slight laundry note), and this one is no exception. But this scent is also different than Zen in that the spearmint is more pronounced (but still quite subtle, not nearly as strong as, for instance, ScentSationals Inner Zen), the laundry note is more subtle (or not even there, although it does have a bit of a soapy note), and it's not as sweet as Zen (and Zen isn't very sweet to begin with). With Zen I don't detect eucalyptus at all (which has a pine-like note), but I think I do detect a smidgen of it way in the background in this scent. Very nice, relaxing scent!

Himalayan Sea Salt
A fantastic super fresh watery scent with a hint of a lemony note and a smidgen of a peppery note.

Pink Grapefruit & Amber
Fantastic intense grapefruit scent with kind of a sour lemon or satsuma note, but it's not really citrusy. It's a savory scent with zero sweetness. There's no amber in this scent (which is a soft, warm perfumey note with a hint of woodsiness), although there could possibly be a barely detectable smidgen of woodsiness way way in the background? This scent lasted 24 hours straight, and probably would have gone longer if I hadn't removed it from the warmer.

Relaxing Spa
I've smelled this type of scent many times. It's a men's cologne scent but it's not very sweet, and has maybe a smidgen of leather and/or light wood. It's similar to ScentSationals Black Tux.

Zen Garden
This smells like a combination of men's cologne and cedar, but there's another strong note of something harsh, not bad, but a little metallic or something. Oh wait, I think that note is wintergreen, which would make sense with the spa theme. But the wintergreen is subtle, so there's still that harsh note that I can't figure out. It's just an okay scent for me.
