Febreze Spring Wax Melt Reviews 2020

This is a review of three Febreze Spring wax melts from 2020: Lilac & Violet, Ocean, and Peony & Cedar.

These are available at Walmart, Target, and other stores that sell Febreze products. The Ocean scent is $3.97 and the Lilac & Violet and Peony & Cedar scents are $2.97. It's basically the same amount of wax (2.75 and 3 oz.), so I don't know why the Ocean scent is more expensive. It doesn't say it's made with essential oils, which might justify the price. Maybe because the wax is in a teardrop shape?

The lids for the Lilac & Violet and Peony & Cedar scents don't really snap into place. They're just kind of sitting there on top of the clamshell. When I bought them at Walmart, most of the lids were separated from the wax melts. So if you plan on buying several of these and not melting them right away, you might want to put a rubberband around the package.

Lilac & Violet
A super sweet lilac scent with a soapy note. I'm not sure what violets smell like, but there is a hint of another floral in the background. It's not an authentic floral, nor is it perfumey, but it smells great.

Ocean
Hinoki, Ginger and Waterlily
This is a fresh, slightly soapy men's body wash type scent, and it's not overly sweet. I don't smell ginger or hinoki (a woodsy note). The wax is in a teardrop shape like the Febreze Downy Unstopables "Fresh" scent, which makes it a little hard to snap off a piece to put in the warmer. It's a nice scent, but similar to so many other fresh, body wash, cologney type scents out there.

Peony & Cedar
I've smelled this scent before and I'm sure it's a dupe of an older scent, but I don't know which one. I don't smell peony (which would smell a bit like rose), and no cedar or woodsy notes at all. It does, however, smell like plumeria, a super sweet, rich, almost foodie floral with a vanilla or candy note, and maybe a smidgen of fruit. It's a nice scent, but a bit too rich. The scent lasted the entire day though, at least 10 hours, and probably would have gone longer if I hadn't turned off the warmer for the evening. It's similar to, but not the same as (since it has a fruity note that these scents don't have, and it's not nearly as nauseating), Mainstays Peaceful Waters from Walmart and all the other scents that are dupes of that scent (Aldi Sea Salt Rain, Aldi Cozy Blanket, Aldi Tranquil Waters, Aldi Calm Waters from the Aldi Fresh Trio, and Hanna's Candle Tranquil Waters.
