ScentSationals Wax Melt Reviews from HEB in Texas (2017)

This is a review of ScentSationals Wax Melts from H-E-B in Texas (2017). These Special Edition "Texas" ScentSationals scents can be found at H-E-B stores, and possibly some other stores in Texas. They are not available from stores outside of Texas.

Comal River
This is a nice orange scent mixed with a hint of some other kind of berry, maybe gooseberry or apricot? It's not a watery scent at all. It's very similar to the Raspa scent, as well as ScentSationals Molten Orange, but there's just a smidgen less of the citrus note, and the addition of another, sweeter fruit nectar note.

Country Sunflower
As soon as I smelled this one, I recognized it. It's the same scent as Hallmark Sunflower Fields and Crafters & Co. Wild Sunflowers (same scent), both of which are made by Empire Brands (Langley Empire), the company that makes Tuscany and Sonoma melts. Empire Brands and ScentSationals are two different companies, but I guess they both use that particular sunflower scent. It's a bright, pleasant perfumey floral with a hint of honey. Very nice scent!

Fredericksburg Peaches
A nice milky peach scent. This is not a super sweet peach nectar type scent like the inside of the peach, but more like the outside of the peach mixed with milk.

Frozen Margarita
A sweet lime scent, nice but not as fruity or authentic as other margarita or lime scents I've smelled before. It has a little bit of an industrial or chemical note, but it's still a nice scent.

Heart of Texas
This smells a little bit like the new ScentSationals Apple Wood, but it's not the same. This is a fresh men's cologne scent with cedar and tobacco notes. It's not very sweet. Unlike Apple Wood, I don't detect an apple note, and the tobacco note is more subtle. This is a completely different scent from Hill Country Cedar.

Hill Country Cedar
This is a fantastic scent. It smells like an older popular men's cologne, but I forget the name, maybe Old Spice or English Leather. But it's not an overly cologney scent. I can definitely smell the sweet cedar wood, but there's also a cologne note along with it. It's quite weak on cold sniff.

Mountain Laurel
This is the same scent as the discontinued Better Homes & Gardens Honeysuckle Berry Bliss from 2014. It's a fantastic rich creamy sweet scent combining honeysuckle, strawberry, and maybe a smidgen of vanilla.

Poteet Strawberry
A fun super sweet strawberry candy scent. This is not an authentic strawberry scent at all! It's very similar to ScentSationals Cherry Berry, although I don't think it's the same scent.

Prickly Pear Cactus
I think this is the same scent as ScentSationals Paws-itively Tropical (a super fresh but very slightly sour apple with maybe a hint of pear, and a crisp fresh air note), or very close.

Raspa
Raspa is basically the Spanish word for snow cone. This is a strong orange scent with maybe a smidgen of berries. It's very similar to ScentSationals Molten Orange, with very slightly different notes.

South Padre Beach
This is a pleasant fresh water scent with a smidgen of floral, red berries (strawberry maybe), coconut , vanilla, and maybe a smidgen of pineapple. This is not the same as the old discontinued South Padre Island scent. It smells slightly like Better Homes & Gardens Caribbean Sea Breeze, but with much less coconut and more berry. In fact, when melted, I barely detect the coconut and I do smell a slight strawberry vanilla note along with the main note which is a fresh water scent and maybe also a smidgen of floral, and a faint pineapple note.

Texas Sky
Hints of vibrant greens lay upon an enticing array of amber, jasmine and rose, meshed with citrus lemon notes and soft musk.
Same scent as last year's ScentSationals Day Dream and the new AmbiEscents In the Clouds (same scent).
